Fatigue has returned
I explanted on November 9'th. As you can see from my profile, I had many symptoms originally that seemed to immediately dissapate after explantation. Now, in the beginning of February, I have started to experience fatigue once again, lower back pain, shoulder and neck pain, and bloating. I had originally been told that I was borderline Lupus by a neurologist. My explant Dr. told me to wait to re-test to see if this would change after the surgery. Has anyone else had returning symptoms?? This has all happened in the last few weeks following my period.

RE: Fatigue has returned
Hi Laura,
I wonder if this is part of a healing crisis......When toxins are being released, people often have a return of their symptoms....then subside again. This happened to me in the first few months, but it was never as bad while still implanted. Did this doctor say you were borderline Lupus while still implanted with the cohesive gels? Did your labs reflect this? If so, maybe you should get re-tested. This is a great article I found on liver detoxification. I've read it several times. http://www.tuberose.com/Liver_Detoxification.html 1994: Implanted with Anatomical Textured Salines.... 2010: Replaced with "New" Cohesive gel breast implants. I had them 4 months, 15 days.... They nearly destroyed my immune system. "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. Its not." -Dr.Seuss |

RE: Fatigue has returned
I would re-test for Lupus as well. I was also told by my rheumatologist that I was showing all signs indicating that I had Lupus. He said that it can be very hard to detect in a blood test and instructed me to be tested every six months.
You might want to be tested again to see if that is what is causing the returning fatigue. RE: Fatigue has returned
Thank you so much for your update. I didn't improve at all when I explanted for 2 years in 1996. This time I'm going to detox. Have you? There is a new treatment for autoimmune disease called low dose naltrexone (LDN). My GP takes it for his skin cancers, basel cell, and has me on it because I have thyroid nodules. Dr Mercola recommends it also. It is only in the system for a few hours overnight. It blocks opiates and boosts the immune system big time. Treats Lupus, MS, CFS etc. Check it out via Google.

RE: Fatigue has returned
Thank you everyone for your ideas and support. I scheduled an appointment with my Rheumatologist to be re-tested for Lupus. I was also going to ask if it could be fibromyalgia and what treatment options there are. I really dont want to take medication again, but I just want my life back. My energy level is very low and I the aches and pains make it hard to concentrate on what I should be doing. Thank you all!

RE: Fatigue has returned
Laura Jean,
I know that for some women, it takes awhile for their inflammatory markers to lower after explant. Before you assume it is Lupus, think about some of the more simple things it might be like candida or food allergies. And yes, like someone mentioned above, some women get worsening of their symptoms after surgery. If your doc gave you a steroid during surgery, this can give you a short term FEEL GOOD period and then you sort of crash again. The bloating you mentioned may be candida. This can cause every symptom you mentioned and then some. Cut back on sugar, wheat and dairy and see if you notice a difference. It is better to get to the root of the problem, than to take meds to cover up the symptoms. You need to detox. Suana, foot soaks, IV's, etc. Have you been doing any of those things? Also, be patient as it can take months or years for ALL symptoms to go away. |

RE: Fatigue has returned
I had symptoms that went away completely after removing the scar capsules that were on removed during explant. Remaining symptoms I discovered were due to a B12 deficiency which I have now linked to systemic candida. I am going on a 14 week treatment for that.
Good luck, I know it's tricky to figure out the source. Implants can cause a long list of domino effects on your system. ![]() http://www.change.org/petitions/breast-i...d-epidemic Please sign and share. Thank you! |

RE: Fatigue has returned
My symptoms got better first month after explant then worsened 3 months after explant then after 9 months it improved again. So it may be that your body is still detoxing. It takes about 2 years for the body to normalize so you should give it time and continue with healthy diet, regular excercise etc...
Our cells take instructions from our brain...whatever you thinketh will be your reality.......believe that you are healthy and you will be. |
