hi beth, all benzos are difficult to kick. very popular in that class of drugs for treatment of seizures. i went off a little too quickly years ago and suffered big time. the trick is to taper VERY SLOWLY. as i should have learned my lesson back then and did not, i am now on a taper schedule for xanax. some docs like to use valium in place of other benzos for the withdrawal period as it has such a long half-life. i tried it, but found myself asleep all day. just take it slow. i don't know the klonopin schedule, but i am on reducing the xanax by .25mg every 2 weeks.
